but she was fair haired, and there might have been a redish

them to check it all out. We did enjoy her company and her
discertation on ADAM GRAPHICs, and I recalled her name as Pat.
We all maintained contact on the ECHO, for years after that,
but I was not aware or had forgotten that she was referred to
as "pj". It is nice to hear that the prognosis for her hubby
is improved. i think it might have been me who started calling
her "pj". some use that name, others use pat. she'll answer to
anything, bless her sweet soul. As far as things ADAM, I have
material coming out my ears, that witness the ADAM from day one,
but I have not had one running for a few years. The BBS that
I was running (ON THE ADAM) would still be going if I had not
ruined the startup disk. I left it in the drive that was used
for messages, and it got written over a few block, but that was
the end of if doing the job. Denny Kehoe who had programmed
the BBS software had lost interest and intent for the ADAM and
was not prepared to fix it up, and I had no idea what this disk
did in detail. Set the xram and set pointers for the users
message no's etc. Anyway, the ADAM BBS sat there silent and the
phone would ring and there was no response, and gradually the
calls stopped. Not intentional, but just a slow atrophy because
the brains were blank." End Quote

I can certainly understand THAT. i still have a bbs up running
entirely on adam. there are only two left, me and that other one
in toronto, run by mike hurst, who you've seen here on the mail-
ing list. it's a hack of the cpm software PBBS that has run on
many other systems for years. thanks to the patience and hard
work of guy cousineau, we have one for adam. however, like
denny kehoe, guy's interest seems to have waned. if something
major were to happen to my bbs, i doubt strongly that i could
get it back online. so far, it has been up for around 4 years
with no real tough problems. it merely requires backing up
weekly and it needs to be "pruned" of messages now and then. in
fact, it's over due for such a cleaning now. but why do that
drudge work when i can put it off a bit and read mail? :)
